I was very excited to head up to Dallas and visit with my colleague Mamta Shah, during her visit to the US. Unfortunately about 10 miles from my destination I had an issue with my car. Absolutely worst case scenario. On the North Texas Tollway, during rush hour, far left lane, going up a hill. The car dies completely. I called 911 for assistance in moving the car off the highway. The 911 dispatchers were quite to ascertain my location, summoned a tow truck and a state trooper to help with traffic. I was impressed that both showed up within five minutes, and in 10 minutes I was riding in the two truck and my new best friend Jose Castillo towed myself and my car to a repair place at the next exit. Each of these to professionals were instrumental in bringing down my stress level in this emergency and it was inspiring to see them work in a very dangerous environment on the highway. All things considered, within 20 minutes I had filled out the paperwork for the repair and was taking an uber to my hotel. I, like many people, often wonder where our tax or toll fees go. This is a great example showing the tremendous service these professional embrace. Thank you Jose for helping me out and also thank you to the DPS officer who directed traffic and definitely eased my stress level during the whole incident.
